What is the Power Time shifts module?
It is an optional Power Time module for companies working fixed, rotating or night shifts. You plan the rota, publish it and every employee sees it in the app; swaps between colleagues go through approval and the coverage panel flags gaps. It costs €1.50 per user per month on top of the base plan: €4.00 + VAT billed annually.
What's included
N-day rotating shifts
Define the cycle once (for example 4 mornings, 4 nights and 4 off) and Power Time repeats it. Someone joining mid-cycle starts at their position, not on day 1.
Shift swaps between employees
One person proposes swapping or giving away a shift, the other accepts and the manager approves. Minimum rest between shifts and maximum weekly hours are checked.
Open shifts
Publish an uncovered shift and let whoever can pick it up claim it. You approve each claim or switch on first-come automatic assignment.
Minimum coverage
Set the minimum, optimal and maximum headcount per day. The panel flags days below the minimum and lets you open a shift to cover them.
Availability and reports
Each employee states their availability preferences. Reports on scheduled vs actual hours, overtime, coverage and hours balance, in PDF and Excel.
The shifts module is optional and paid. Power Time does not build the rota by itself: you build it with templates and patterns, and the tool flags gaps and conflicts.

Example: 10 employees with shifts, €40 + VAT per month billed annually (€480 + VAT per year). Prices exclude VAT, for 1 to 25 users, no minimum. Annual billing is charged upfront: if you cancel, you keep using Power Time until the end of the paid year, with no refund. Monthly billing has no lock-in.
Frequently asked questions
Does it handle rotating and night shifts?
Yes. You can define rotating patterns of any number of days and night shifts that end the next day; hours are calculated correctly even when they cross midnight.
Can employees swap shifts with each other?
Yes. One proposes the swap or gives away a shift, the colleague accepts and the manager approves it. You can turn approval off if you trust the team.
Does it respect the minimum rest between shifts?
In the module settings you set the minimum rest between shifts (11 hours by default) and the maximum weekly hours, and swaps that break them cannot be approved.
What if someone has approved leave?
No shift is assigned on a day with approved leave, and if there is a pending request Power Time warns you while planning.
How much does it cost?
€1.50 per user per month on top of the base plan. Billed annually, €4.00 per user per month in total (€2.50 + €1.50); billed monthly, €5.00. Prices exclude VAT.
